Trim and merge audio, right in your browser
A simple audio editor for everyday jobs. Cut clips down, line them up or layer them on separate tracks, balance the volumes and save the result as one MP3.
Works on computers and phones. No install.
Your files stay yours
Your audio is opened, edited and turned into an MP3 on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account to make.
Trim, split and arrange
Drag clips along the timeline or onto another track, trim either edge, split at the playhead, type exact times, and undo anything. Your original files never change.
Mix and export one MP3
Layer tracks, set each one’s volume, mute or solo it, then save the whole mix as one stereo MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps.
How to edit audio online
- 1
Open your audio
Open the editor and drop in your files, or press Import. MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC all work.
- 2
Put clips on the timeline
One after another on the same track joins them. On separate tracks they play together, like a voice over music.
- 3
Trim, split and move
Drag a clip’s edges to trim it, split it at the playhead, and drag it where it belongs. Snapping lines clips up.
- 4
Export one MP3
Set each track’s volume, then export the whole mix as one MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps.
People use it to join voice clips into one recording, put music under a narration or a presentation, shorten or rearrange a song for a dance routine, and cut the part they need out of a podcast or a lecture. It does these jobs and little else, so there’s almost nothing to learn.
Questions
Is this audio editor free? +
Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no ads, and every feature is free to use.
Are my audio files uploaded? +
No. Your files are opened, edited and turned into an MP3 inside your browser, on your own device. They’re never sent to a server.
Which audio formats can I open? +
MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC, and any other format your browser can play. The finished mix is saved as an MP3.
How do I merge audio files into one? +
Put the clips one after another on the same track, trim the gaps or the extra bits, and export. The export joins everything on the timeline into one MP3.
Can I put music under a voice recording? +
Yes. Put the voice on one track and the music on another, then turn the music track’s volume down. Overlapping tracks are mixed together.
Can I come back to a project later? +
Press Save and the project, with its audio files, is kept in this browser on this device. It opens again the next time you open the editor here.
Is there a length or file size limit? +
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device’s memory, so very long projects are easier on a computer.
Does it work on a phone? +
Yes, for small projects. Tap a clip to select it, then drag it. For detailed edits, a computer with a mouse is easier.
